In a number of recently-referred-to experts’ findings, it is reported that Latvia's schoolchildren are not as proficient as they should be when it comes to mastering text, including text assignments, and using facts. Results show that approximately one fifth of primary school pupils may find it difficult to comprehend text, of which only a small proportion (a small percentage) are comprised of pupils with physiological reading problems or dyslexia.
