The project entails the purchase of equipment for the establishment of an optical electronic instrument laboratory at “Saulgrieži”, Mētriena Parish, Madona District.  Within the framework of the project, specific optical electronic devices will be conceived, developed and produced, and furthermore two new jobs will be created within the specially supported territory.

This is approximately 10,000 times better than currently. Within the parameters of this project, BUFPI plans to collaborate with Daugavpils University, the Max Planck Institute, German advanced technology company Menlo Systems GmbH, the LU Institute of Astronomy and the Institute of Electronics and Computer Science.
